I wish we had gotten Mexican and Filipino flags but we didn’t have time to buy them before the concert. Instead, we got to appreciate everyone else’s country flags from all over LATAM, Oceania, even some parts of Asia dancing together in the crowds to the same beat, and it was beautiful to see!!!

Bad Bunny in Sydney was not on my bingo card for 2026 (I didn’t even realize he was coming to Australia until a few days ago 😮‍💨) but I would change my plans all over again in a heartbeat to be a part of this moment!!!

3 weeks ago I was dancing to the NFL halftime show watching from Manila with my husband and our family + friends with Mexican, Nicaraguan, Vietnamese, Puerto Rican, and Filipina/Australian descent between us. We all felt seen in that show. And I may only be latina-in-law, and I may not speak fluent Spanish (even though Duolingo tells me I’m muy excelente), but I don’t need to be in order to love this cultural moment that Bad Bunny represents. 👏🏽

Absolutely LOVED experiencing the joy and the magic of this music here in Australia!!!! We might be far from home but last night we felt anything but. Truly a core memory for the rest of my life and a highlight of my career break so far! 🫶🏽 #badbunny #badbunnysydney #dtmf #dtmftour

The year is 2026. The universe meets you at the edge of your audacity.

You do the big things. The scary things. Or perhaps, one small but meaningful thing that you kept putting off. The phone call. The health check. The big ask. The text you wrote but never sent. You decide to live. And to stop pushing your life off until later. Because it happens, and is happening, and has already happened, whether you choose to be in the driver’s seat or not.

The date is February 7, 2026 and so far this year I have completed my 200-hr yoga teacher training and my 4th month of my Career Break abroad. I’m still funemployed, still don’t have a plan, and am perfectly content to just savor the chaos of it all as I go. After a month of long distance as I finished my yoga intensive training, I’m in the Philippines where I’ll be marrying my best friend... again! (swipe 👉) More to come 😊💍

What does it take for you to find yourself again?

The you that’s unworried and unphazed. Not because you’re avoiding things. But because you’re choosing your inner peace and deciding to lead with calm, unhurried joy instead.

I often struggle, but I find that when I change my scenery I’m the most open to letting go of the things I hold onto. The “musts” and the “have tos” and the deadlines, self-imposed and otherwise. The way I’ve conditioned myself to believe things “have to” be.

My time at @mundukmodingplantation was restorative for me, because it came at a time in my life filled with so much change and transition. I felt permission to be curious. To sign up for classes and learn new things. To treat myself not because I ‘earned’ it but simply because I am a human doing her best to navigate this crazy planet.

And I wanted to share that with you ☺️

Because I think we all need this reminder once in a while, wherever we are.

That at any given time, we can remind ourselves to release from all the noise and the notifications in our lives.

That we can treat ourselves, simply for being alive.

This is what it’s like staying at a luxury resor

This is what it’s like staying at a luxury resort-meets-working coffee plantation in Northern Bali!

Munduk Moding Plantation is located in a remote corner of Bali that begins where the crowds end. The roads are calmer. The clouds thicker. No acai bowl cafes or boutiques or conveniences in sight. But the higher we climbed into the mountains, the more I felt in my core: oh, this is going to be gooooood.

I love it when hotels go above and beyond to do things a bit unexpected. A bit harder, but worth it. And here, every single thing is meticulously thought out. The daily experiences that invite you to learn about Balinese culture and food. The natural way of growing coffee and working with local farmers. The creative ways plastic is recycled and used as decor in each of the rooms. The unbelievable menu that isn’t just ‘the hotel lobby restaurant’ but a whole exploration of northern Bali on a plate.

I even made my own Balinese dishes!!! And they might have been some of my best work ever! 🤌🏽

What I love most, I think, was that I truly felt that this isn’t the kind of luxury that separates you from where you are. It’s the kind that invites you in for a conversation over a warm cup of tea. And that felt, well, incredibly good.
