Since it’s Thursday, here’s a little throwback for you guys. To the desert. Palm Springs, to be exact.
After a weekend of bottomless mimosas, endless walking, soul-soothing music, and dry, dusty desert heat, I (somehow) survived. But man, was I exhausted. For a second, I worried that I was getting too old for this.
No, no. That can’t be it.
This was my second Coachella, and after all the music comes to an end, it’s admittedly hard for me to remember all of the individual moments that made the weekend what it was. Maybe it’s the lack of sleep, or the one too many mimosas, but it honestly was a blur of sights, and smells, and sounds. I honestly think people aren’t meant to deal with that much overwhelming activity in such a short period of time (I swear, you guys, I’m not old). But, some standouts that I can’t stop thinking about are: The Head and the Heart, Hans Zimmer, Justice, Bastille (chills!!!), and Kendrick Lamar. My Spotify is still overwhelmed with me desperately trying to relive their sets day in and day out through my headphones.
Here’s a photo story from in between the chaos of Day 1 and Day 2. After serious lack of sleep, before the coffee, and before the madness began. Again. For a second (and eventually a third) time.
Maybe I am getting too old for this.
But would I do it again? Oh, you bet. It’s a blast!!! Thank you, Coachella (and Palm Springs), for another fantastic, overwhelming, exhausting weekend. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you again real soon.
